Game Night Sidekick does not collect any data. There are no accounts, servers, analytics, advertising or tracking.
What stays on your device
Your games, game history and settings are stored only on your device. We can't see them, and they aren't sent anywhere.
Saved players and iCloud
If iCloud is turned on, your saved players' names and colours are kept in your own iCloud account, so they appear on your other iPhones, iPads and Apple TVs signed in with the same Apple Account. Apple stores this for you, and we can't see it. With iCloud off, saved players stay on the device.
Sharing a game
When you share a game, it's sent over your local network directly to the devices that join it, and it's protected by the four-digit join code. It never goes over the internet, and it isn't stored anywhere else.
Permissions
- Local network: to find and join games with people in the same room.
- Camera: only to scan a QR code to join a game. Images are never saved or sent anywhere.
- Notifications: only so that the sand timer can tell you when it runs out while the app is in the background.
You can change these at any time in the Settings app.
Purchases
The in-app purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We don't receive your name, payment details or any other personal information about it.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
